Butterfly

Towards the end of our long and dreary winter, the bold colours of tulips and daffodils welcome the coming spring. On closer inspection, we notice the new blossom on the fruit trees, a different birdsong and note the days are getting longer. Sitting quietly in our Bream Creek homegarden, this turning of the season reminds me of nature’s cycles _ nothing stands still, there are always new beginnings. For the caterpillar uncurling from a leaf, the time to be a beautiful butterfly dancing amid the bloom is only short time away.
