Sea Horses

Snorkelling the seagrass beds around the Tasman Peninsula gives me the chance to spy upon that most modern of couples, the seahorse. While many know the male carries the young, few know they mate for life, but live separately. But each day, at the same time and place, the star-crossed seahorses meet. With entwined tails and eyes only for each other, they promenade through the seagrass gardens together. To chance upon a romantic pair reminds me that the idea of enduring love is not just for us land-dwelling souls.
